The Maryland Green Registry Leadership Awards are presented each year to recognize members for their strong commitment to sustainable practices, measurable results, and continual improvement. The winners, listed below, represent a wide variety of facility types and sizes, but share several key factors that contribute to their success: an organization-wide commitment to environmental performance, annual environmental goals, a green team that meets on a regular basis, and measurement of results.
The Leadership Circle is an additional level of recognition. This annual designation is offered to a select number of former Leadership Award winners that have demonstrated their commitment to continual improvement by implementing significant new sustainable practices in the previous year.
Notice Regarding the 2020 Leadership Awards: The annual awards application period typically occurs during the month of April, but due to the COVID-19 outbreak and response, the 2020 Leadership Awards have been deferred until next year. We will continue to work with members to get their stories out throughout the year and encourage members to submit information for "Member Spotlights," which can be easily shared through social media. See the the green.maryland.gov home page for examples and visit the Members Only page for instructions. We look forward to hearing from you!
