Residential Wells

residential well

About thirteen percent of Maryland residents obtain their drinking water from an individual well.  Homeowners are responsible for maintaining their own individual wells, and it is recommended that individual wells be tested regularly to ensure that the water meets drinking water standards.  For more information about water quality in a particular area, please contact your local health department.
