CALENDAR YEAR 2017 is a reporting year - DUE MARCH 1, 2018
MARYLAND WILL BE USING EASITRAK FOR ELECTRONIC REPORTING
Maryland’s hazardous waste regulations require a Maryland generator of hazardous waste to submit a report of hazardous waste activity for 2017 calendar year if the generator:
The Maryland Department of the Environment mailed out Biennial Hazardous Waste Report notifications in January. The packets included instructions and Maryland-specific information to be used in completing the report. The mailing was based on a list compiled from hazardous waste manifest information. However, failure to receive a report packet does not absolve a generator who meets the reporting criteria of the requirement to file the report.
Note: EPA requires only Large Quantity Generators to report; however, Maryland has more stringent requirements. Maryland requires all generators who generated over 220 lbs. in any calendar month complete a report.
This report must be completed and submitted to the Maryland Department of the Environment no later than March 1, 2018.
Electronic Filing: The Department encourages generators to submit their 2017 report electronically. The Department will continue to use the internet based database, EasiTrak, for generators to use. This database is free of charge to the generators.
Please go to www.arminc.net and click on EasitTrak 2017. Generators will have to register in order to use the database. If you used EasiTrak for the 2015 report you will have to register again. Your EPA ID Number is your user name. Please refer to the attached document below titled "Electronic Filing" for step by step instructions.
If you choose to report electronically, print, sign and mail the "Declaration of Electronic Filing" to the Department by March 1, 2018.
Report forms will no longer be mailed. Report forms and instructions are available on the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) public RCRAInfo website at https://rcrainfo.epa.gov/rcrainfoweb/action/main-menu/view. Be sure to follow the Maryland-specific instructions in the Department cover letter for the biennial report mail-out. If you fail to take note of the Maryland-specific instructions, you will not fill out the report correctly.
