BALTIMORE, MD (July 3, 2007) - The Chesapeake Bay Watershed Restoration Fund Advisory Committee will hold its next meeting on Monday, July 9, 2007, at 1 p.m. in the Aqua and Terra Conference Rooms at the Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) headquarters, located at 1800 Washington Boulevard in Baltimore.

Among agenda items to be discussed that day are MDE’s evaluation process for Biological Nutrient Removal (BNR) and Enhanced Nutrient Removal (ENR) upgrades of wastewater treatment plants and an update on onsite sewage disposal systems and upcoming events. The Maryland Department of Agriculture will also discuss the benefits of cover crops in nutrient removal. The Maryland Department of Planning will discuss HB 893 reporting requirements for wastewater treatment plants using Bay Restoration Funds to upgrade facilities.
